In 2018, David Robichaux stepped away from a successful position with Architects Southwest to actualize his lifelong dream of starting his own firm. In just few years Parish Architecture has taken on board talented team members with diverse experience, talents, and qualifications to deliver to its clients a truly exceptional level of quality architectural services.
Parish Architecture is positioned to provide the expertise and quality of service that only years of professional practice and experience could make possible. As a full-service professional architectural firm, we provide project management, facilities and historical building assessments, site master planning, low-impact development site planning, building programming, probable construction cost projections, innovative building design from schematic to construction documents utilizing BIM, CSI formatted specifications and full construction administration. Parish Architecture enjoys longstanding collaborative experience working with local consulting engineers and specialized national consultants.
Our firm has been selected by the State of Louisiana for multiple projects requiring highly technical expertise in design, project management and building technology. David Robichaux,
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
AIA, NCARB
After growing up in south Louisiana and receiving his degree from University of Southwest Louisiana, David began his career with the Resorts Development Corp. and David Jacobson and Associates in Atlantic City during it’s boom era. He followed the coast down to the Mobile-Pensacola region and practiced several years for the areas most significant firms and projects. In 1994, David came back to south Louisiana with a wealth of unique experiences and began managing diverse projects for prominent firms in Lafayette, including Architects Southwest, Guidry Beasley Architects and James Broussard Associates. In 2018, David grasped the opportunity to begin Parish Architecture to bring an expert level of project management and building technology along with great design that only a deeply experienced professional office can offer. David’s understanding of the newest technologies along with archaic and traditional building systems allows Parish Architecture to optimize designs for new, existing and historical structures and sites. He has been at the forefront of the implementation of low impact site development and is passionate about delivering design solutions that exceed the client’s needs.

Karim Zaoui,
Project Manager
As a graduate from “Architecture La Villette” in Paris France, Karim brings 19 years of experience working with Architectural firms in Lafayette and New Iberia, Louisiana on a broad range of project sizes and types ranging from mercantile, business, commercial, and medical to retail, industrial, educational and residential. Mr. Zaoui has extensive project management experience and as a project manager for two ShopRite Facilities in Lafayette and a new office and storage facility for Arc Energy Equipment in Scott. Karim was lead project manager for over 10 restaurant projects located throughout Florida and Louisiana, including the Margaritaville and Halal Guys Restaurants chains. Project Manager experience includes 4 small commercial projects in the Lafayette and Broussard area, automotive dealership renovations in Louisiana and Mississippi, 12 retail projects located throughout Lafayette, Broussard and the New Iberia areas which include Jimmy Johns, Antlers Restaurant, Fremin Plaza’s and Meche’s Donuts. Mr. Zaoui has worked on over 23 Industrial Office-Shop projects that include Warehouse and Crane facilities located throughout Louisiana. He also has experience working as lead design production manager for a Catholic High School and Gymnasium in New Iberia as well as residential projects located in New Orleans and Cypremort Point, Louisiana.

Kelly Russo,
Project Manager
At the intersection of academia, art & architecture, Kelly Russo’s experience lends multifaceted insights to approaching the individual needs of a project. She graduated at the top of her Masters Class from UL Lafayette with the top award for her thesis, and is currently pursuing her Architectural License. With 6 years in the world of commercial architecture, 14 years in residential & 5 years in architectural higher education, Kelly is always searching to know more and refine any design challenge she faces. She has project managed a 4,500sqft NuNu’s Grocery Store, and a 4,000sqft renovation to Teurlings Catholic High School. The time she has spent designing residential New Builds & Additions has developed her eye for efficient and clean-flowing floor-plans with tasteful simplicity. No style is out of bounds – the goal is to create highlighted moments in the architectural scale & details and make daily life and operations move more organically in floor plan. Her acute ear for listening to what is not said, and seeing what is not obvious, and her open-minded approach to different and changing possibilities will guide novice clients and experienced ones into confidently executed solutions that are timeless, thoughtful, and personal.

Connie Robichaux,
Administrative Assistant
Connie Robichaux is an administrative assistant with many years of experience with the Lafayette Parish Schools as both an office administrator and paraprofessional in assistance to public school staff. Connie is a people person and helps maintain office proficiency, bookkeeping and support of the technical staff.

Gregory Rosary,
Design Intern
As a new edition to the company, Gregory Rosary Jr. is a fourth year architectural student attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. With a passion for wanting to learn all aspects of architecture, Greg is looking to “dip his foot” into anything thrown his way. His hobbies include fishing, basketball, and being around family.

Chloe Barton,
Design Intern
As a Lafayette native, Chloe has always been interested in the culture of a place and how it shapes the built environment. After graduating with her Masters from UL Lafayette, she spent 2 years working in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, gaining experience on a wide range of projects including single and multi-family residential, as well as adaptive re-use and commercial projects. While working along the Mississippi coast, she learned about resilient and sustainable design practices and became a LEED Green Associate. She is currently pursuing her Architectural License and hopes to become a LEED AP in the future.
